JournalI don't like heat.
I don't do well in very hot weather. I prefer cold, at least when you're cold, you can put more clothes on, or eat/drink something that is hot to warm yourself up. But heat is different. There is only so much you can take off, and when I take a cold shower, it's comfortable for about an hour before I feel all sticky and sweaty again. I also get tired quickly but I find getting sleep in this weather very difficult. I keep rolling around trying to find a cool spot in bed but there are none

. Ah well.
I guess there is one positive thing about this weather though. In the evenings it gets really comfortable outside, with the setting sun and cooler breezes. It's really nice to just sit outside and watch the sun set, listen as the birds start going quiet and watch bats coming out to catch bugs (we have small bats in the Netherlands, most people find them scary but I beg to differ, they're really cute).
Commissions are going fairly well. I could use some more, but at least I always have something to work on. Through commissioners I discovered that some artists, apparently, are not very friendly to their 'customers'. I find that hard to understand, the more you keep your commissioners happy, the more chance they will come back and commission you again, right? Also, if you're not happy about a commission or about the commissioner's attitude, it's really not that hard to let them know in a kind way.
Oh, I got the newspaper job. I'm not too sure what it is they want me to do (I believe help out with advertisements), but I'm going there for the first time this monday. I'm somewhat nervous, but I'm sure I'll be okay.
Hmm, any other news... Kevin is coming over on monday so he'll be at my place on my birthday, which is tuesday. I'm really happy with that as he's going to help me survive my family visitors, some of who I find rather boring. He also let me know that he's bought me quite a few presents and I'm both excited and anxious, I hope he's not bought me anything too expensive ._. For some strange reason I always feel guilty when I get a lot for my birthday. Does anyone else get that? I'm not sure why, maybe because it makes me feel spoiled or something xD.
Oh yeah, as a side note and as you probably noticed, I take ref sheet commissions :3. One like 'Little Mo' costs about $40, a more advanced ref sheet (such as the one I did for Lhune) will be about $50.
I've also meant to ask you guys if there's anything about my art you wish to know more about? As in, if I were to make a tutorial on anything, what would you prefer to see? Any random questions will be answered as well :3.

I have how ever been working with digital media lately, just some rough line art for the moment on Niko's Paintchat. Its a very interesting program if you haven't heard of it.
So how are you doing?
I'm glad to hear your character is coming along well! I'd love to see what you've done with it. Let me know when the scanner works again!
I'm good by the way, thanks! How about you?
I'll be sure to check out sketchers. Paintchat is great but I think it only has two layers available, which I have found to be a little irritating.
